HSA Contribution Limits

The HSA contribution maximums for 2019 have increased. The single limit went up to $3,500, while the family limit increased to $7,000. The catch up contribution stayed at $1,000.

Annual Breach Reporting Due to HHS by 3/1/19

In addition to notifying affected individuals and the media (where appropriate), Practices (Covered Entities) are required to notify the Secretary (HHS) no later than 60 days after the end of the calendar year in which the breaches were discovered.  If a breach affected 500+ individuals, covered entities are required to notify HHS without delay.  Breaches of less than 500 individuals must be reported on an annual basis.  To submit the reportable breaches, visit HHS’s website and complete the electronic breach report form.    https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-professionals/breach-notification/breach-reporting/index.html
